Description

Multi-Plus-II 3000 Watt 48 VDC – 120 VAC  UL 1741, Pure Sine Wave Inverter/Charger

The MultiPlus-II 2x120V is a complete inverter/charger solution tailored for 50A 120/240VAC split-phase mobile applications commonly found in North America. This all-in-one unit seamlessly manages both lines of a 120/240V supply—delivering full 50A passthrough capability for AC loads and charging. If only a 120V single-phase source is present, the system intelligently draws from Line 1 (L1) while bridging L1 and L2 internally to ensure consistent 120V output across both legs of your panel.

In the event of a shore or generator power loss, the MultiPlus-II automatically switches to inverter mode, continuing to supply 120V power to both legs from the battery. However, 240V appliances are supported only when a split-phase AC source is present, preventing excessive battery drain during inverter operation.

Like all MultiPlus devices, this model includes robust features such as PowerControl, PowerAssist, dual AC outputs, parallel and three-phase support, and compatibility with a wide range of battery types, including LiFePO₄.

Key Features

Flexible AC Input & Output

  • Accepts 120/240V split-phase or 120V single-phase input

  • Always delivers 120V output in inverter mode

  • Passes through full 50A power from grid or generator to connected loads

  • Draws charging current from L1 input only

Seamless Inverter Transition

  • Uninterrupted power transfer in under 18ms (L1)

  • L2 output restored in about 40ms

  • Internally bridges L1 and L2 in inverter mode to maintain full 120V output on both legs

  • Supports 240V appliances only when split-phase input is available

PowerAssist & PowerControl

  • PowerControl: Limits current draw from generator or grid to prevent overload

  • PowerAssist: Supplements shore/generator power during load peaks using battery energy

  • Prioritizes AC loads and recharges batteries when excess capacity becomes available

Dual AC Outputs

  • Primary output (L1): Seamless UPS functionality for sensitive equipment

  • Secondary output: Activated only when AC input is present—ideal for non-critical loads like water heaters or HVAC units

Scalability

  • Parallel operation: Up to 6 units for higher capacity

  • Three-phase compatibility: Configure 3 identical units for true three-phase power

  • Multi-unit systems: L2 is disabled on all inverters except the master unit to maintain system integrity

Smart Configuration & Monitoring

  • Configure via VEConfigure and MK3-USB interface

  • Monitor and control using GX devices: Cerbo GX, Color Control GX, Venus GX, CANvu GX, or the VE.Bus Smart Dongle (Bluetooth)

  • Optional: Digital Multi Control panel for direct user access

Remote Monitoring via VRM

  • Connect a GX device to the internet and access the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal

  • Monitor, analyze, and adjust system settings remotely, from any internet-connected device

Specification

GENERAL – PowerControl & PowerAssist

  • Includes PowerControl and PowerAssist functions to prevent overload of limited AC sources (e.g. generators or grid)
